Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Display name. The name from your Apple account, shown to the friends you connect with. You can change it in the Profile tab.
• City. We use your device’s location permission only to work out which city you are in, so we can fetch your local weather. We store the city name, never your coordinates.
• Apple ID (Sign in with Apple). Only the anonymized identifier Apple gives us. We don’t receive your real email unless you choose to share it.
• Device push token. Needed to deliver the reminders your friends send you.
• Weather reminders. A record of the reminders you send and receive (who, what, when), so the Alerts tab can show your history.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• No precise GPS coordinates or location history.
• No contacts, photos, browsing history or usage analytics from other apps.
• No advertising identifiers and no third-party trackers or ad SDKs.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your data. Ever.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Show your current weather and local time to the friends you connect with.
• Let you send weather reminders and receive theirs, and react to them.
• Deliver push notifications when a friend sends you a reminder.
• Let friends find you through the share code you give them.
• Keep the service secure and fix bugs.

We process this data because it is necessary to provide the service you asked for, and, where required by law, on the basis of your consent (for example, location and notification permissions).

4. Who Processes Your Data

We rely on a small number of providers that act only under our instructions:

• Supabase hosts our database and authentication.
• Apple WeatherKit provides weather data. We request it live and do not store it permanently.
• Apple Push Notification service delivers reminders to your device.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected with access controls at rest.

5. Who Can See Your Data

Only the friends you explicitly connect with inside the app can see your name, city, weather and the reminders you exchange. You can remove a connection at any time, and they stop seeing you immediately. We never share your data with advertisers or other third parties, except if required by law.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep your data only while your account exists. Reminder history is kept so you can see it in the Alerts tab. When you delete your account, all of it (profile, connections, reminders and push token) is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

7. Your Choices and Rights

• Delete your account anytime from the Profile tab. No email needed.
• Notifications can be turned off in iOS Settings › Notifications › Clouzy.
• Location can be revoked in iOS Settings › Privacy › Location Services. The app will keep working with the last city you set.
• Access or correct your data by writing to us. If you live in the EU, UK, California or another region with privacy laws, you have the rights those laws grant you, and we honour them for everyone regardless of where you live.

8. Children’s Privacy

Clouzy is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we learn we have, we delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and let you know inside the app before the change takes effect.
